This unusual and completely unique wine is a special project by winemaker Pierre Graffeuille, director of Domaines Delon, which includes the iconic estates of Château Leoville-Las Cases, Clos du Marquis and Château Nenin.
Seeking synergy between terroirs, this art has been practiced since the 19th century, blending wines from the Médoc and Rhône valleys creates a beautiful synergy thanks to the complementary nature of their terroirs and grape varieties. This link between the Atlantic and the Mediterranean is a stylish and unique wine, expressed in this great vintage both in Bordeaux and in the Rhone valley, which has the tannic structure of the great wines of the Médoc but also the charm, finesse and friendliness of the great wines of the Rhone Valley. A unique wine that is already very rare and hard to find, be quick!
Haute couture blend
This 4th edition of this blend brings together the Cabernet Sauvignon (61%), Grenache (32%) and Counoise (7%). The power and tension of the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes overlooking the Gironde estuary from their deep gravelly hilltops are a perfect match for the elegance and delicacy of old Grenache, grown according to the cup pruning system on clay-limestone terraces. Counoise, an old and forgotten grape variety from the Rhone Valley, adds complexity and freshness leading to a vintage that is structured and generous in both regions.
