Chateau Haut Brion, Pessac 0,75ltr
OWC1, original box sealed
The Château Haut-Brion is a famous wine estate in France. It has the appellation Pessac-Léognan, a region in Graves (Bordeaux), and is located between Pessac and the city of Bordeaux. It is remarkable that the vineyard is almost completely surrounded by the built-up area of Bordeaux. The winery is considered to be one of the oldest wine estates, as it has been known under its current name since the 17th century.
Château Haut-Brion is classified as Premier Grand Cru Classé under the Bordeaux wine classification system of 1855, and it is the only one with this classification in the Graves. The estate covers 42 hectares and approximately 45% cabernet sauvignon, 37% merlot and 17% cabernet franc are being cultivated.
Haut-Brion is described as powerful, deep and full in successful years, creamy and nuanced in good years. The intensity of the wine is combined with an abundance of playful fruit.
