Chateau La Lagune, Haut Medoc 0,75ltr.
93/100 Points Robert Parker
Expressive and substantial 2021 with good structure, good freshness and refined tannins. Stands out in the Haut-Médocs.
Primeur wines are wines that you can already buy and pay for now and that will not be delivered until early 2024. By buying now you will enjoy our advantageous first price, which is 10 to 15% lower than the price this wine will have upon delivery (early 2024).
This 3rd Grand Cru Classé certainly deserves its rank and sometimes it is even better. The terroir, similar to the Graves of Pessac Léognan, gives the wine an unimaginable finesse combined with volume and power. The cru has been in the hands of the Frey family since 1999, who also have a champagne house (Ayala) and the famous Rhône house: Paul Jaboulet Aîné. It is the daughter, oenologist by training Caroline Frey, who vinifies the wines. A renewed cuverie, an optical triage and a partial replanting ensured a qualitative revival of the château over the last five years. This wine has been certified organic since the 2016 vintage.
