Chateau Leoville Poyferré, Saint Julien 2nd Grand cru classé 0,75ltr
Château Léoville Poyferré is a 2nd Grand Cru Classé from Saint-Julien. The origins of the château go back to 1638. At that time, Léoville was the largest estate of the Médoc, but has known different owners, which eventually resulted in the château being split into several houses. The Cuvelier family, known in Bordeaux, has owned Château Léoville Poyferré since 1979.

Notes Robert Parker:
“Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Léoville Poyferré needs a little coaxing to reveal pretty scents of violets, Black Forest cake and blueberry preserves with hints of raspberry leaves, roses, cigar box and fragrant earth. Medium-bodied, the palate has a quiet intensity with loads of subtle layers and a well-poised frame of soft, fine-grained tannins, finishing long and refreshing.” – Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
