Chateau Talbot, Saint Julien 0.75ltr.
95/100 Points
Talbot, who was killed at the Battle of Castillon in 1453. The largest and one of the oldest Château of Saint Julien, it is ideally situated a short distance from the Gironde, where the vineyards are situated on a subsoil of fine gravel and produce one of the most beautiful red wines of Saint Julien.
Since 1917, the Château has belonged to the Cordier family. Several generations of this family show that they realize the importance of quality. Traditional and modern methods are used side by side. The interaction between man and nature and an age-old knowledge of this excellent terroir, deliver a different wine every year, but a wine that is certainly complex and beautifully balanced.
