Domaine Antonin Guyot, Meursault 0,75ltr
The vineyards of the Domaine are spread over the best places in Burgundy. In Gevrey-Chambertin and Chambolle-Musigny, from Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-les-Beaune to Beaune, Volnay and Meursault. In 1960, the then 55-year-old Antonin Guyon had the bright idea to buy up some vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin and Meursault. Two of the most prestigious appellations from Burgundy. In 1970 his son Dominique managed to add another 22 hectares of vineyards to the south from the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. The family now had a special palette of vineyards and could make several great white and red Bourgognes.
The wine company is now led by Dominique Guyon, expertly assisted by daughter Hombeline. The focus has always been on the highest quality. Real terroir wines that express the character of the special vineyards as authentically as possible. The well-known winemaker Vincent Nicot was recruited as cellar master. Great care is taken in the vendanges that are still traditionally done by highly skilled employees who have served the domaine for decades. Domaine Antonin Guyon works in the top segment of Burgundy.
Tasting note
Beautiful light yellow color with a honeyed nose, rich in the mouth with a very elegant depth. Nice now, but those who have patience will get much more.
