Chateau Rauzan Segla, Margaux 1.5ltr.
Ch. Rauzan Ségla has been owned by the Wertheimer family since 1994 (also owner of Ch. Canon – Premier Grand Cru Classé in St. Emilion, and of the Chanel fashion house). In 2011, the château celebrated its 350th anniversary. Mr. John Kolasa (ex-Ch. Latour) has led the cru for 20 years and brought it back to the level of his 1855 classification (Second Grand Cru Classé). Ch. Rauzan Ségla is a wine that you must keep for at least 8 years before it reaches its full development and finesse. This is the 2nd wine of Rauzan Segla, in short “Segla”.
Tasting note James Suckling 93/100
“This is one of the most structured Séglas for a long time with full body, a sold core of fruit and firm, chewy tannins that are polished and focused. Tight at the end. Hazelnut finish. Drink in 2024.” —James Suckling
