Chasse-Spleen is the star of the municipality of Moulis next to Château Poujeaux. Ever since the early 1800s when, during a visit from Lord Byron in 1821, he spoke the memorable words: “Quel remède pour chasser le spleen”, and in Dutch “what a remedy to cleanse the spleen”, to which the Château is said to have belonged. name, Chasse-Spleen is an exceptionally fine wine. After the Taillan Groupe bought the castle in 1976, the quality has improved spectacularly. The color is deep red against black. A full intense taste of black fruit sometimes mixed with a hint of chocolate is typical of the Château. Aging takes place in oak barrels of which 40% is new, for 18 months. A heck of a wine and unbeatable in its appellation with a worldwide fan base.
