Chateau Marquis d'Alesme Margaux 3ieme Grand cru classé 0,75ltr.
Çhâteau Marquis d'Alesme is a troisième grand cru classé from Margaux. For years it went through life as Château Marquis d'Alesme Becker, but when Nathalie Peroddo-Samani took over the name, the name was shortened. Much has been invested since 2006, which has benefited the quality. While the wine of Château Marquis d'Alesme had large fluctuations in quality in the past, today the domain constantly performs at a high level. 15 hectares are planted with 63% cabernet sauvignon, 30% merlot, 3% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc. Same owner of Château Labégorce from Margaux.
Tasting Note 2015 Robert Parker 94/100
“The 2015 Marquis d'Alesme Becker is composed of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. It has a deep garnet-purple color and a broody, earthy/meaty nose over a core of crushed black currants, plum preserves and blackberry pie with hints of Indian spices and potpourri. The medium to full-bodied mouth displays a great core of rich black fruit flavors and a firm frame of ripe tannins plus seamless acid with a long, earthy finish.” – Robert Parker's Wine Advocate |
