Domaine Alain Gras, Saint Romain 0.75ltr.
Alain Gras has been working passionately since 1979, with great respect for his vineyards and terroir. It has an exceptional location because the vineyards are on top of a hill, the vines benefit from a limestone-clay soil that forces the roots to descend deep into the bedrock to obtain the nutrients they need. The characteristics of the soil in Saint Romain give the wine minerality, elegance and freshness. Add to that the education after harvesting the wine with a 12-month wood aging (20% new French oak) and the talents of Alain Gras as a winemaker and a beautiful white burgundy is born.
The estate is 12 hectares, the production of which consists mainly of Saint Romain and a little bit of Meursault and Auxey Duresses. His wines are traditionally vinified with the greatest care, and very well translate the typicity that Alain Gras summarizes in 3 words: freshness, fruit and elegance. Perhaps the Saint Romain blanc is the most famous wine of the house. Light golden yellow in colour. Bright. Powerful and fine aroma in the nose with citrus aromas, flowers and yellow fruit. Very tasty and broad on the palate. Soft and round.
