Vega Sicilia Alion is a red wine from the Spanish wine region Ribera del Duero. The wine has a full body and a powerful, intense taste. The wine is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes, picked by hand from average 30 year old vines. The tendrils grow in a soil with excellent water-regulating capacity. As a result, the grapes ripen early, which has a positive effect on the quality of the wine. Finally, this wine matures for about 12 to 14 months in new French oak barrels. After this maturation follows another maturation of 15 months in the bottle in the cellars of the winery.
